According to Odek,

“The Administrative Committee of the Southern Kenya Lake Field has taken action to withdraw the powers.

From district pastors to grant choirs, solo artists, and evangelists opportunities to participate in conducting the launching of music events.”

The letter stipulated the engagement of masters of ceremonies.

This will only occur with the approval of church boards and church business.

These authorities of SDA churches will appoint one of the elders or church officers within the local church where the worship or celebration is taking place.

Furthermore, the letter noted that the committee had banned a solo artist named Lourine Otieno.

She is banned from singing in any Southern Kenya Lake Field Churches.

This was prompted by events that transpired when Lourine launched her song in the Southern Kenya Lake Field.

During the launch, a male comedian attended the event dressed in female attire.

Wearing a headscarf, the individual was allowed to preside over the event from the pulpit.

The committee’s decision was seemingly influenced by this incident.

This has led to a comprehensive change in how the Southern Kenya Lake Field of the Seventh Day Adventist Church conducts its church activities.
