Globally famous music artist and producer Sean ‘P Diddy’ has been reportedly arrested in Manhattan New York over alleged trafficking charges.
According to The New York Times, which cited “a person familiar with the indictment,” the details of the charges against the music mogul were not immediately clear.

Diddy has been in the crosshairs with law enforcement after former girlfriend Cassie alleged abuses in the time she was with Diddy.
Diddy’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, released a statement expressing disappointment with the prosecution’s decision.

P Diddys’ lawyer’s statement
In the statement he says, “We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office,” the statement read.
Agnifilo emphasized Diddy’s accomplishments and character highlighting Mr. Combs’s contribution to his community.

“Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man, and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children, and working to uplift the Black community.“

The statement continued, addressing Diddy’s imperfections but defending his innocence in light of his new arrest in Manhattan.

P Diddy Cooperating with investigations
“He is an imperfect person but he [is] not a criminal. To his credit Mr. Combs has been nothing but cooperative with this investigation.” his lawyer stated.
In his statements, he goes on to highlight the effort to which Diddy has gone, to display his cooperation with investigators.

“He voluntarily relocated to New York last week in anticipation of these charges,” stated Marc Agnifilo.
Agnifilo urged the public to withhold judgment, stating, “Please reserve your judgment until you have all the facts. These are the acts of an innocent man with nothing to hide, and he looks forward to clearing his name in court.”

It is unclear when authorities will release details of the exact charges being leveled against the artist and whether or not bail will be afforded to him.
