Dorcas’ detention centre for children?

The primary goal of this facility is to correct wayward children who have committed minor offences.

Moreover, the second lady added that this would be offering the children an opportunity for rehabilitation and reformation.

Instead of branding these children as rogue, she shared that the facility will be enabling them to become productive members of society.

The Wellness and Rehabilitation Centre, which houses this detention facility, will also include a health facility, a rehabilitation centre and a digital hub.

In the works as well, the centre will also have a sports academy, vocational training, and a prayer centre, among other activities.

Pastor Dorcas mentioned that the children placed in the detention centre will receive training in farming and entrepreneurship.

This training will be aimed at teaching them skills to support themselves upon their release.
Additionally, the facility will provide free therapeutic services for individuals suffering from cerebral palsy and autism.

The project has received support from Laikipia Governor Joshua Irungu, who emphasized its role in equipping local youth with vocational skills.

The project is ultimately geared towards creating work opportunities for the community.
