kakamega senator Boni Khalwale is a happy man after his bull won a bull fighting competition in Shinyalu.
The outspoken long serving politician is known to be a fanatic of this tradition that has been practiced in the Luhya community for a centauries.
He took to his X account (formerly twitter) to share his excitement.
Every Year Khalwale popularly known by the moniker bull fighter enters a bull into the competition.
“My bull Inasio wins away in Itenyi village in Shinyalu Constituency. Champion!” Posted the Kakamega Senator.
Bull fighting competition rituals
Bull fighting is a tradition practiced majorly in the luhya community and it goes back decades and decades.
The event is normally preceded by a march before two of the strongest bulls fight until one rans away.
