Senator Crystal Asige: I went through a bad heartbreak last year, my ex could not handle the fame

Nominated Senator and Musician Crystal Asige has revealed the cause of her heartbreak in the year 2023.

Asige was live on Dr. Ofwneke show on Wednesday night at TV47 where she opened up on her failed relationship.

When asked if she has ever experienced a heartbreak, Crystal smiled and said “There are so many toxic people out here.”

According to her, her ex-boyfriend was not able to handle the fame and glow up after she was nominated for the Senator position.

“Sometimes men get insecure and they need to style up,” she said.

However, Crystal says that her ex lover still calls her despite her not picking his calls.

“I prefer break ups face to face. I want you to be man enough and face me and explain to me why.”

“Nowadays I am always on a blind date. It’s interesting because I still need to see how someone looks because I love a certain type of man,” Crystal added.

The sensational songbird says that she looks for characteristics more than physical appearance.

“My type of man is kind, someone who would want to understand my world how I live, but then also tall, dark and handsome ni kawaida,” she added.

Crystal Asige’s music career

Despite being elected as a nominated Senator representing persons living with disability, Crystal has kept her singing career on.

Five months ago, she dropped a mixtape on her YouTube channel titled ‘Blinding Allure’ with 6 songs.

Few weeks ago, she released a single by the name Tattoo which has been performing well on social media.

“I am working with a producer that I have been working with for many years and am also featuring people in the mixtape,” she said.

Crystal says that her first mixtape was RNB, but she will be working on the next one which will be Afro and also Reggae.

“Then after I will do Gospel, because I love church. I want to show you all of whom I am as an artiste”
