Prince Harry has been meeting representatives from different countries taking part in the games

The Duke of Sussex received a standing ovation as he opened the Invictus Games on Saturday, September 9, 2023. This is the sixth edition of the tournament meant for injured service people.

Today, Prince Harry is expected to be joined by his wife, Meghan Markle.

The Invictus Games is an international multi-sport event first held in 2014 for injured servicemen and women.

The Games were founded by Prince Harry who was inspired by his 2013 visit to the Warrior Games in the US.

The goal is to give soldiers who are wounded, injured or ill in body and soul a greater awareness and recognition in society and to support their path in rehabilitation.

Kenya, however, is not part of the countries participating the games.

This years edition will culminate on Saturday, September 16.
