Kakamega Senator Bonnie Khalwale has called out members of parliament who have been castigating Foreign Affairs Principle Secretary PS Korir Sing’Oei for asking Senate Speaker Amason Kingi to stay away from the foreign affairs docket.

This is in light of the speaker’s post which has since been deleted whereby the PS called out Kingi for talking about his meeting with the Somaliland diplomatic representative.

In his post on X, Kingi stated that during the meeting he explored avenues of collaboration between the two countries.

“I met in my office of Parliamentary buildings this afternoon H.E. Dr Mohamed Ahmed Mohamoud, the Somaliland Ambassador to Kenya, during which we explored new avenues for collaboration and partnerships between our governments,

“We deliberated on the need to enhance trade between Kenya and Somaliland by facilitating easy movement of people and commodities between the two countries,”

However, PS Sing’Oei was rubbed in the wrong way by the speaker’s sentiment and decided to call him out on social media.

While debating over the matter in parliament Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina has called on the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations to summon PS Sing’Oei to answer why he disrespected the Speaker.

“Senate is powerful, the speaker is the 4th most powerful person in the country”

“We should play a critical role in educating some of these characters in the foreign affairs ministry,” said Ledama.
