A senior police officer was on Thursday, June 13 shot and killed after he shot a magistrate at the Makadara Law Courts in Nairobi.
Reports reaching us indicate the cop, an Officer Commanding Station (OCS), had travelled to Nairobi to follow a case where his wife was the accused person.
Due to congestion, the court was sitting in a tent outside the main courtrooms.
After the magistrate ruled on the matter, the officer is said to have brandished his gun and shot Magistrate Monica Kivuti on her thigh.
“Other officers who were present responded and shot the officer fatally wounding him,” Nairobi Police boss Adamson Bungei says, as reported by The Star.
