Several KDF soldiers have been injured after their vehicle ran over an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Baure, Lamu County.
The soldiers were on patrol along the Milimani Baure Road on Sunday, September 10 when the incident occurred.
The injured soldiers were airlifted to Manda Base Hospital for medical care.
“KDF condemns the criminals who disrupt movement and sabotage socio-economic stability in the area,” the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) says in a statement.
KDF is further calling upon the residents to share information of criminal elements in their community with security agencies.
