Shabana beats KCB to climb to 5th in the FKF-PL standings

Kisii-based Shabana FC registered a 2-0 victory over KCB FC in a match played at the Gusii stadium on Sunday evening.

Shabana took the lead in the 29th minute through Brian Michira after he netted a rebound from a blocked Mathew Tegisi attempt.

17 year old Austine Odongo who came in off from the bench replacing Samuel Maiko and scored his first Shabana FC goal when he capitalised on KCB’s defensive lapse in the 91st minute handing Shabana FC their fifth win of the season.

The victory saw them move to the fifth position in the FKF-PL standings with 20 points four behind log leaders KCB FC.

At the Dandora stadium in-form Ryan Ogam scored a goal in either half as Tusker FC bounced back to winning ways with a 2-1 victory against Bidco United.

In Murang’a Humphrey obinna’s 86th minute goal saw Murang’a Seal secure a 1-0 win over bottom-placed Posta Rangers. Youngster Kelly Madada netted his first goal as AFC Leopards were frustrated to 1-1 draw by Sofapaka in a match played at the Dandora stadium.

In another match Bandari FC settled for a 2-2 scoreline at full-time over Mathare with Mathare United rallying from a 2-0 deficit to secure a draw at the Ukunda Showground.
