Shabana FC was the most active club during the 2024/25 FKF Premier League pre-season transfer window, which concluded on Monday, September 9, 2024, at midnight.
The club made significant moves by signing 14 new players, including three from AFC Leopards, demonstrating a strong intent to bolster their squad for the upcoming season.
In addition to their acquisitions, Shabana FC also released 15 players who found new homes at various clubs, such as FC Talanta, Gucha Youth FC, Mara Sugar FC, Vihiga United, Samwest Black Boots FC, Kisumu Allstars, Kariobangi Legends FC, and Migori Youth FC.
Mathare United also made substantial changes to their roster, matching Shabana’s number by signing 14 new players.
Their new recruits came from teams like Soy United FC, Kayole Youngstars FC, West Kenya Allstars FC, Ulinzi Stars FC, KCB FC, Posta Rangers FC, Mombasa Elite FC, Naivas FC, and AFC Leopards. Mathare United, however, parted ways with 13 players during this busy transfer window.
Nairobi City Stars, in contrast, was the least active among the top clubs, adding only five new players to their squad.
Their signings included Sven Yidah, Brian Opinde, James Ssemambo, Stephen Bulugu, and Andre Kalama. They released six players in the process, indicating a more conservative approach to squad changes.
With the transfer window now closed, these clubs will aim to leverage their new acquisitions to improve their performance in the forthcoming FKF Premier League season.
Fans will be eager to see how the new signings integrate into their teams and impact the league standings.
