Zari Hassan admitted that she has been deleting photos of her current husband, Shakib Cham, from her social media since November 2023 due to their marital issues.
Speaking during an interview with Millard Ayo, the mother of five claimed that she has not been on good terms with Shakib Cham for a long time.

The Ugandan socialite reiterated that the main reason why Cham moved from Uganda to South Africa was not because of the video she made holding hands with Diamond Platnumz, but because they had marital problems.

Zari apologized for the video, stating that she made the video only to promote Diamond’s new song ‘Mapoz.’
“From the bottom of my heart, I’m sorry that I hurt him like that. I should have been more responsible. For that, I apologize.”

According to her, the video came at a wrong time since her marriage and that of Diamond and Zuchu were facing troubles, and so the video acted as a catalyst to her troubled marriage.

“Now, let me say, Zuchu and Baba T are Couple A, and Shakib and I are Couple B. These things happened as Couple A had their issues going on, and we as Couple B had our own. There were things happening between Shakib and me during our relationship. The video just added on to what was already happening.”

She admitted that they had to give each other a space.
“I decided to give myself space because we have been having issues since last year. When he went back to Uganda, it was more like giving ourselves space to see how this goes.”
