A Police officer in Rarieda ,Siaya County is on the run after stabbing his wife with a knife on the left side of her abdomen.

According to a police report at Aram Police Station, the officer identified as Kenneth, had a quarrel with his wife Lavin Otieno, 25 and stabbed her several times.

The incident forced other cops to break into the house where they found Lavin Otieno bleeding profusely with visible stab wounds.

“Lavin was rescued by the other officers who had responded to her alarm. She was taken to Lwak Mission Hospital where she has been admitted in stable condition,” police reported.

A similar incident happened in Bondo Sub County where a police officer stormed a Forest Station and killed two rangers before he allegedly attempted to commit suicide.

A bloodstained knife and a metal rod were recovered from the crime scene, suspected to have been used in committing the crime.

Elsewhere in Bondo, police arrested a woman who is suspected to have stabbed her husband in their matrimonial home in Bondo town.

The victim who was bleeding on the left arm and on his right shoulder was rushed to Bondo Sub County Hospital in Siaya.

Police officers arrested the suspect who has been identified as Milka Achieng Omoro.
