The wife of Kisii governor Simba Arati recently vowed that she will not return to China, urging other women eyeing her husband to consider being second or third wives.
Simba Arati’s Chinese wife, popularly known as Kwamboka who was speaking during a funeral in Kisii stated that she has no intention of returning to China as she urged women allegedly eyeing her husband not to displace her.
At the same time, Kwamboka declared that only Arati could take her back to China.
“Those who want to come and become a second or third wife, come, I welcome you. You do not need to remove me before you come because I have to be the one who will welcome you,” she said.

However, Kwamboka who was conveying the Kisii governor’s message at the funeral, mentioned that her statement was on a light note.
She became popular during campaigns in the August 2022 general elections when she tirelessly campaigned for Arati.
The Kisii’s First Lady surprised many people with her mastery of local languages in Kisii as she interacted and mingled with residents easily.

During the campaigns, Kwamboka also beautifully sang and danced to a vernacular song that was praising her husband.
“My name is Kwamboka and I am the wife to Simba. Thank you for coming. I request that you vote for our leader Simba Arati for the governorship seat,” she said.
