The celebrated singer and self-proclaimed president of single mothers, Akothee, is joyously marking a significant milestone.

The singer deliberately kept it under wraps for over a decade.

Breaking the silence, she took to her social media platforms to share the news.

Akothee is part of Mount Kenya University’s graduating class of 2023.

Akothee dedicated herself to studying for a Bachelor of Business Management degree with a focus on Human Resources.

Despite the challenges and demands of her multifaceted life, she emerged triumphant in her academic journey.

Furthermore, she has actively sponsored numerous students at Mount Kenya University’s Kisii campus.

She shared a glimpse into her preparations for the graduation ceremony, writing, “Off to Mount Kenya University.

Rehearsals for the day I have been waiting for since 14 Years.

I am tearing up so much, no idea why. BBM class of 2023.President of single mothers.”

The singer’s story resonates not only as a testament to her resilience but also as an inspiration for those who face challenges in pursuing their dreams.

As she steps into this new chapter as a graduate,she continues to stand proudly as a single mother of five and advocates for the transformative power of education.

24th MKU graduating ceremony

Mount Kenya University, 24th graduation ceremony will be held on Friday, 8th December 2023 from 9.00 a.m. 

This will be at the graduation pavilion, Happy Valley ground, along Garissa Road.

The graduation ceremony will be presided over by the University Chancellor, Prof. John Struthers.

Additionally, he will award Diplomas and Certificates and confer Degrees.
