Manchester United midfielders Sofyan Amrabat and Kobbie Mainoo conducted separate training sessions away from the main group at the Carrington Training Complex on Tuesday.
While the squad geared up for their upcoming clash against Bayern Munich in Germany, both players focused on building their fitness as they prepare for their season debuts.
Amrabat, who arrived from Fiorentina on loan, was unavailable for United’s 3-1 loss to Brighton due to a minor injury that led to his withdrawal from the Morocco squad.
Kobbie Mainoo, who impressed during pre-season and started in the friendly against Real Madrid, suffered an early injury in a collision with Rodrygo.
The 18-year-old engaged in light individual running exercises as he works towards a full recovery and ready to impress in the senior team once more.
Sofyan Amrabat, on the other hand, is poised to make history as the first-ever Moroccan to represent the Reds.
Manchester United suspends Jadon Sancho from first team
Last week, Manchester United announced that winger Jadon Sancho will be segregated from the first team pending a resolution of an indiscipline issue.
“Jadon Sancho will remain on a personal training programme away from the first-team group, pending the resolution of a squad discipline issue,” the club said in a statement.
The England international was engaged in a public spat with United manager Erik Ten Hag, claiming that he has been the scapegoat for the club’s tribulations.
“Please don’t believe everything you read! I will not allow people to say things that are completely untrue. I have conducted myself in training very well this week,” Sancho said.
The 23-year-old ranted on social media in response to his boss after ten Hag claimed that the England international did not feature in his match day squad against Arsenal because he was not to the levels required.
