Manchester United were held to a goalless draw for the third time consecutively in all competitions by Premier League outfits Crystal Palace.

United has now failed to find the back of the net in the last 270 minutes. The draw with Palace followed a draw with Real Sociedad in the Europa League and a draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last weekend.

United never looked like scoring after only producing one single shot on target for the whole 90 minutes. The draw leaves Ole Gunnar Solskjear's men at the second place with 14 points behind league leaders Manchester City.

Crystal Palace's only chance pinched right at the end when Patrick van Aanholt was put in on goal, but he was denied by United keeper Dean Henderson.

It was the Red Devil's sixth goalless Premier League draw of the season, their joint most in a campaign, along with 2004-05 and 2016-17.

United will host City on Sunday in what promises to be a thrilling encounter.

Elsewhere, Burnley held Leicester City to a 1-1 draw at Turf Moor stadium. Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho cancelled out Matej Vydra's fourth minute opener to deny Leicester a chance to move to second place.
