Second-half goals by Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford helped Manchester United secure three important points at home against Brighton Albion.

Former United forward Danny Welbeck gave the visitors the lead after 13 minutes before Rashford equalized in the second half. Greenwood sealed the win seven minutes to full-time.

The win saw United remain second in the Premier League table with 60 points, 14 adrift of league leaders Manchester City. Meanwhile, Brighton is ranked 16th with 32 points.

Elsewhere, Newcastle United secured a much-needed point against Jose Mourinho's Tottenham Hotspurs following a 2-2 draw at St. James Park.
