Kenyan marksmen off to South Africa for 'Fullbore Shooting championships 2021'

A shooting team comprising of 12 Kenya Police officers and three Directorate of Criminal Investigations officers will represent the country in South African Fullbore Shooting championships. The team is led by Commissioner of Police Anthony Kamitu.

The send-off ceremony for the team that left Kenya last evening was held at the Kenya Sports Shooting Federation (KSSF) headquarters, Lang'ata. The team was flagged officiated by KSSF Chairman Shaoib Abdulgani together with Kenya Regiment Rifle Club Chairman Memba Muriuki.

The duo recognised the team's good track record in similar competitions, saying that he hoped they'd emerge victorious.

Shooting Stars

The team in March this year took part in World Cup in Tokyo.

Police Inspector-Genera Hillary Mutambyai, his Deputy Edward Mbugua, and DCI boss George Kinoti congratulated the team and wished them well.
