South Korean actor Oh Young So, best known as Player 001 of the smash hit series ‘Squid game’ has been found guilty for sexual assaulting an actress and has been sentenced to 8 months in prison.
According to reports, the actress who was assaulted filed a complaint, alleging that Oh sexually harassed her in 2017. The incident is said to have occurred while they were on a tour for a play.
She said that the 79-year-old, kissed her on the cheek and hugged her without her permission during a performance.
Oh young had previously denied the allegations and commented via JTBC, “I just held her hand to guide the way around the lake.”
The woman who was allegedly assaulted has chosen to remain anonymous.
Initially, the police had dismissed the case in April 2022, but it was reopened upon the woman’s request.
