Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry has reiterated his support for Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee for the upcoming US presidential election. Curry expressed his belief that Harris could bring “hope and unity” to a divided nation.

Speaking at the Warriors’ media day, Curry shared his enthusiasm for Harris, whom he has long supported. Harris, currently serving as the US Vice President, was born in Oakland, California, the same city where Curry’s NBA career has flourished.

“Supporting her is an honor,” said Curry. “She’s a sophisticated leader who I believe can guide our country and offer hope, inspiration, and unity.”

Curry emphasized the need for addressing tough conversations and making progress in the US, noting that Harris has the qualities to tackle the challenges ahead. Harris is contending with former President Donald Trump for the White House in the 2024 election.

Curry went on to praise Harris’s integrity and leadership style, stating, “She will bring a level of decency and humanity to the job.” He added, “Is she going to run the entire country and be a leader for everybody? I feel like she checks that box, and that’s why I have confidence in her.”
