President William Ruto on Thursday, March 20 nominated Mr Stephen Isaboke as the Principal Secretary in the State Department for Broadcasting and Telecommunications.
Isaboke is the immediate former Group Executive of regulatory and government affairs for MultiChoice Group responsible for Sub-Saharan Africa (48 countries) based in Dubai.
He is the current Chairman and Non-Executive Director of GOtv Kenya Ltd (Multichoice Africa Holdings (BV) Group subsidiary and Africa’s leading video entertainment company.
He also serves as the director of Aura Kenya, a technology-based emergency response service provider.
Isaboke has more than 33 years of professional life in Kenya and rest of Africa working as Managing Director and later as Regional Director for East Africa for MultiChoice Africa Group companies, the leading media and entertainment company in Africa as well as various senior managerial positions in Kenya and East/West Africa and finally Sub-Sahara Africa.
Isaboke’s experience in business spans several territories across Africa for over 30 years. Occupying senior management and executive positions, his experience encompasses a broad range of sectors namely; Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG); Pharmaceuticals; Oil and Gas; Media, Technology and Entertainment.
This long experience in the region has enabled him to create a strong network within the private and Government sectors in different countries across Africa.
He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing FCIM, (UK) and a member of the Institute of Directors (IoD) Kenya. He has served in several non profit entity boards including Operation Smile Mission in Kenya (OPSMIK) and Harambee Stars Management Board (the Kenya national football team).
