‘Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man’ author Steve Harvey is the talk of the interwebs streets and not for his work.
-Thee Rumour-
Evidently, rumours have had it that Steve Harvey’s wife, Marjorie Elaine Harvey had filed for a divorce.
It was also rumoured that she was staking claim to half of Steve’s estate amounting to $200 million.
In addition, the word on the street is that Marjorie allegedly cheated on Steve with her bodyguard.
Coincidentally, it was Steves’s bodyguard who convinced him that Marjorie was the right woman for him according to an article by National Today.
Perceptibly, the rumour started making rounds online after Steve fired his social media manager over a negative tweet.
-Previous Breakup-
Steve met Marjorie in the late 80’s on stage and he was star-struck in front of a live audience.
He declared that he would one day marry her on the spot. Ironically, they broke up after Steve became homeless according to an episode of ‘The Carlos Watson Show’ in 2021.
-Friends Response-
Interestingly, Steve and Marjorie have been very evasive and indirect about addressing the rumours of their divorce.
Other parties have been speaking on their behalf. Regardless, most people are eager to hear either one address the rumours directly.
In addition, one such friend addressing the Harvey rumours is Ned Nwoko, a friend of the Harveys. Moreover, he debunked the rumours obe the divorce in an Instagram update.
“When we read about our friend Steve Harvey and his lovely wife having issues, we had to contact Him and He confirmed that he and his wife are very much okay” Nwoko updated.
-Marjorie’s Response-
Marjorie has remained silent over the matter and has not addressed it directly.
As a result of the rumours, however, she has however responded in a manner that echoes the friend’s post. This warrants questions on whether these responses are staged.
In an Instagram post, Majorie posted a Bible Pamphlet from Matt Mcmillen Ministries with the caption,
“My husband and I don’t usually stop to address all the foolishness and lies that have been spread about us.
In addition, she went on further to clarify,
“However, to whom much is given much is required. I understand that with my platform comes some sort of responsibility to those that may not be as strong as we are.“
“Read and share this with your love ones that may not know how to properly cope. God Bless all of you.”
