Musician Stevo Simple Boy (real name Stephen Otieno) has reconciled with rapper KRG The Don (real name Karuga Kimani).
In a video shared by KRG, the two had a chat where the rapper confessed he would not have accepted Stevo’s apology were it not the economic situation the latter is currently facing.
“I forgave you after seeing all the problems you are facing,” he added.
Stevo defended himself, saying he was misquoted by online critics, and did not have any issue with KRG The Don.
“Hii ni mambo ya mtandao. Mi sina shida na wewe (This is just the internet. I do not have any issue with you).”
In January this year, Stevo Simple Boy said he would never do a collabo with KRG as he does not recognise him as an artist.
“KRG is just a vixen he is not an artist. I do not care whether he has done a collabo with Konshens. One day you should come vixen in my music video,” he was quoted as saying.
While explaining himself, Stevo said his woes are attributed to swindling by his former manager, but his fortunes were about to change after getting signed by Main Switch Group.
KRG The Don offered him KSh5,000 in cash and pledged to support him in his music endeavours.
“From now on we will be working with KRG The Don and everything else is behind us now,” an elated Simple Boy said.
The rapper urged Kenyans to support Simple Boy’s talent to elevate him economically.
“Wakenya msupport Simple Boy mpaka anunue Prado kama hii. Matapeli, wanawake, managers wamemuibia na nyinyi mnamsifu tu ati ako na talent. Kama mnajua ako na talent mnunue muziki, fresh barida juice na t-shirtsmpaka anunue Prado.
(Kenyans support Simple Boy until he is able to buy a Prado like mine. Con men, women, and managers have stolen from him yet you praise him for his talents. If you know he has talent, then buy his music, fresh barida juice and t-shirts so that he can also buy a Prado),” KRG explained.
He offered to have Simple Boy driven home but the musician declined the offer, saying he would manage on his own.
