“Stop insulting us!” – Miguna Miguna slams ‘arrogant’ CS Kuria

Canada-based Kenyan lawyer Miguna Miguna has launched a scathing attack on CS Moses Kuria, accusing him of having a tendency of abusing Kenyans.

Miguna says the good life that the Trade and Investment Cabinet Secretary is enjoying is courtesy of “hardworking” Kenyans and as such, he should respect them.

“Every day you open your mouth, you abuse the ordinary citizens and tell them that they are lazy, stupid and ignorant, Miguna says. “You abuse ordinary citizens that they are suffering because they are lazy and foolish. You boast and threaten them of higher commodity prices and declare that they will suffer more as you become wealthier at their expense.”

‘Chimba kisima yako!’

The whole debate started when the Energy Petroleum and Regulatory Authority (EPRA) on Thursday, September 14 increased fuel prices to an all-time high.

The next day, CS Kuria – in an effort to explain that the government does not have control over the price of fuel – slammed Kenyans who were lamenting.

“Ukishinda umesema bei ya mafuta imeongezeka kutoka asubuhi mpaka jioni, si uchimbe kisima chako?” he said.

Trade and Investment CS Moses Kuria. He told off Kenyans lamenting about the increase in fuel prices, insisting that the government has no control over fuel prices.

On Saturday, CS Kuria was at it again, accusing Kenyans of only advancing rich people agenda on a national level, sidelining the poor Kenyans.

“The foremost problem in our country is that only elitist agenda gets to the table of national discourse thanks to lazy media and idler KOTs. I agree with… Let’s also talk about people who sleep hungry and when they rarely get a chance to eat they can’t get a toilet to excrete in. It’s more important than your Uber and fish fingers,” CS Kuria opined.

‘Height of arrogance!’

But according to Miguna, Kuria’s sentiments show that he is arrogance and disrespectful to the millions of Kenyans who voted for President William Ruto.

“Respect us, the ordinary citizens who elected the Kenya Kwanza government, which appointed you CS. Stop insulting us! We are the ultimate bosses; not you or the appointing authority, because without us, the voters, you would have no gravy train to ride,” Miguna says.

Miguna added that Kenyans voted for Kenya Kwanza Government to solve the problems created by the previous administration. “We did not vote for the Kenya Kwanza government so that you can abuse us!”
