Suspect linked to killings of 4 Eastleigh women charged with murder

Hashim Dagane, also known as Hashim Khalif, was charged in court on Tuesday January 21, 2025 in connection with the murders of four women in Eastleigh, Nairobi last year.

Dagane appeared before Justice Kanyi Kimondo via a virtual court session, where he pleaded guilty to the charges but denied involvement in the deaths of Dahabo Daud (also known as Waris), Amina Dhahir, Musayba Abdi Mohamed, and Deka Abdi Noor Gorane.

The killings are said to have occurred between October 21 and 30, 2024.

Dahabo was murdered on the night of October 21 and 22 in the Kyumbi area of Machakos County, while Amina and Abdi were killed on the same night in the Parklands area.

“Deka was murdered at Valley Heights Apartments in the Lavington area of Nairobi,” according to the charge sheet.

Dagane, currently held at Nairobi Area Remand and Allocation Prison, requested bail, but the prosecution strongly stated that they will oppose his release.
