A village in Kagadi District, Western Uganda has been thrown into mourning after unknown assailants attacked and killed eight people, injuring eight others on Tuesday, October 29 night.
According to Uganda Police Force, the assailants attacked Mizizi A Village at around 9 pm, and embarked on a violent killing spree, under unclear circumstances.
Among those who were killed include four children aged thirteen, seven and three years.
“Additionally, [eight] others were injured and are admitted to various clinics in Kyaterekera [Sub-County],” Uganda Police Spokesperson Kituuma Rusoke says.
Rusoke told journalists that a joint team made up of officers from Uganda Police Force and the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) responded to the incident.
“They managed to encounter two suspects—Baguma Obedi, 33, and Munyirambe David, 36 who were put out of action,” he added.
