Legendary reggae and dancehall star Sean Paul is set to make a thrilling return to Kenya after two decades.
The Grammy-winning artist, known for hits like “Get Busy,” “Give Me the Light,” and “No Lie,” will headline a highly anticipated concert on Sunday, December 1, 2024.
At the Waterfront 2 Gardens, Nairobi Jockey Club.
At 51, Sean Paul is expected to bring the same electrifying energy that has defined his career, promising an unforgettable night of vibrant music and dynamic performances.
Kenyan fans will again be treated to his signature dancehall beats that have kept dancefloors alive for years.
Organized by Who Said Events & Win Group Agency, the concert will also feature an impressive lineup of local talent, including Kenyan music heavyweights Redsan, Motif Di Don (Arbantone set), DJ Grauchi, G-Money, Kym Nickdee, DJ Moh Spice, Mish, CNG, and ZJ Heno.
Popular emcees DNG and BV Accurate will host the event, setting the stage for a night filled with excitement, fun, and nostalgic vibes.
Sean Paul’s last visit to Kenya was in 2004, a memorable experience that included a comical mishap where the artist lost his mobile phone at a hotel.
Though the incident became part of his tour story, he jokingly recounted the experience with a sense of humour during interviews.
“I misplaced it when I was in a hotel, and I was asking everybody where, where, where. It wasn’t theft; I just misplaced it.
I even considered setting up a reward for the phone’s return, but nothing came of it. Still, big up to Kenya, and much love,” Sean Paul said during a 2021 interview with Capital FM.
Now, 20 years later, Sean Paul is ready to relive the magic and reconnect with his Kenyan fans.
The upcoming concert is expected to be nothing short of a spectacular experience, as the reggae and dancehall icon prepares to light up the stage once again in Nairobi, leaving the crowd buzzing with excitement.
