Three people, including a mother and her child, have died and several others injured after a bus they were travelling in was involved in a fatal accident at Kayole area, Naivasha.
The accident occurred when the brakes of a Uganda-bound bus failed, ramming into another vehicle at around 9 pm Tuesday, August 6 along the Nairobi-Nakuru Highway.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that the bus was in a fleet of three vehicles that were ferrying mourners to a burial in Tororo, Uganda.
The injured were rushed to Naivasha Sub-County Hospital where they are receiving treatment.
At the time of the accident, the bus had 63 passengers on board.
