In a shocking series of events, three men have been lynched in Homa Bay County following the brutal killing of a boda boda rider and the assault of his wife, who had recently given birth.

The incident began when an unidentified gang attacked Jacob Osore at his home in Got Rateng B Village, Mbita Sub-County, early Tuesday morning. The assailants fatally wounded Osore with a panga and reportedly raped his wife, before stealing his motorbike.

The heinous crime enraged local residents, sparking a manhunt for those responsible. The mob first apprehended and killed Frank John Dimba near Kipasi trading center.

Homa Bay County Police Commander Samson Kinne confirmed the deaths of two more suspects, Omondi Ariko and Omondi Musa, who were also lynched by the mob in separate locations within Homa Bay Sub-County.

The area boda boda association leaders have called for enhanced security measures, highlighting a surge in crimes targeting their community.
