Police in Kangundo are investigating an incident in which a security guard from Kathaana DEB Secondary School was killed by thugs who broke into the school.
The students were sent back home after the body of the guard was found and several offices were broken into by the intruders.
The area assistant chief, Lucas Ndambo Mutuku, confirmed the guard’s death and informed the area OCPD, OCS, and other security personnel.

The deceased guard’s brother, Patrick Nzioka, was notified about his brother’s death by one of the school’s cooks.
Nzioka found his brother dead with blood oozing from his mouth and nose.
This incident occurred just a month after another watchman from Kyamulendu Secondary and Primary School was killed by thugs.
Athanus Ndolo Mutinda, an eyewitness, stated that crime cases are on the rise and urged the police to investigate the matter.

The deceased body was taken to Kangundo Hospital Mortuary for examination.
