This platform presents distinctive avenues for businesses to engage with a vast, youthful demographic, harness viral trends, and exhibit inventive content.

Nevertheless, it presents challenges, including its predominantly young user base, short attention spans, limited analytical tools, and concerns regarding brand safety.

TikTok maintains stringent community guidelines, violations of which can lead to bans or suspensions for users.

These bans are usually a result of breaking TikTok’s rules, but they’re not permanent.

Typically, they last for 24 to 48 hours, sometimes for 14 days, and in rare cases, they can be permanent, depending on how serious the violation was.

How to lift a ban on TikTok

If you believe your account was banned incorrectly, file an appeal, you will need to submit a customer support ticket by doing the following:

  • Open the app
  • Click on the question mark icon in the top right corner of Ads Manager to access a drop down menu
  • Tap Appeal to initiate the account recovery process
  • Follow the instructions provided.

TikTok typically responds to appeals within 24 to 72 hours.

Some reports indicate that appeal requests have gone unanswered for several months. However, it’s important to note that since strikes expire after 90 days, you should anticipate some resolution within this timeframe.

If you delete appealed content currently under review, they might not be able to remove the violation from your record even if your appeal is successful.

Deleting content after appealing won’t result in its restoration.

Keep in mind that repeated violations could lead to penalties on your account.

Temporary bans typically last up to 14 days, after which you should regain access to all app functions.

If you still can’t post after this period, you can request the ban to be lifted by emailing TikTok Help or using the Share Your Feedback form.
