Tisap Rugby tournament receives a Ksh 1.5 million boost

Kenya Brewers Limited has offered a sponsorship boost to the much anticipated Tisap Rugby scheduled for this weekend at the Eldoret Sports Club in Uasin Gishu County.

The 1.5 million shillings sponsorship deal builds on KBL’s previous involvement in the circuit’s tournaments.

Tisap is the penultimate leg of the 2023 National Sevens Circuit

KBL has supported events such as Dala, Driftwood, Prinsloo, and Christie Sevens.

With this contribution, KBL’s total sponsorship for the Circuit reaches Ksh. 11.5 million.

“This sponsorship is meant to support the event’s organization to ensure success and create a great experience for the fans.”

said Lennox Mwalea, the Tusker Brand Marketing Manager.

The organizers have finalized the compositions of the tournament’s pools

Having secured victory in the Christie 7s just over two weeks ago, KCB finds themselves positioned in Pool A.

This pool also includes Blak Blad, Homeboyz, and Mombasa, setting the stage for intense matches.

In Pool B, Strathmore Leos, the runner-up at the RFUEA Ground, assumed the leading role.

They will face off against the reigning circuit champions, Menengai Oilers, as well as Catholic Monks and Masinde Muliro, promising a competitive lineup.

meanwhile, Kabras Sugar Spearheads Pool C, where they will compete against Kenya Harlequin, Daystar Falcons, and Kisumu.

In the meantime, in Pool D, Nakuru leads the pack, joined by Mwamba, Nondescripts, and the University of Eldoret Trojans, who will have the advantage of playing in their hometown’s top-tier matches.

The upcoming weekend of sevens rugby is poised to generate excitement, further intensifying the competition for the title of Kenya’s club sevens champions in 2023.

Kabras Sugar maintains a slender two-point lead over their intense rivals KCB, with both teams heading into the competition as favourites.
