Leaders have come to celebrate former Prime Minister Raila Odinga as he celebrates his 79th birthday. Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu has joined the bandwagon.

“My friend Jakom, The enigma. What would Kenyan politics be without you! (SIC)” Wrote Miss Nyamu on her X (formerly Twitter) account.

“Today I honor you for your footprint in our governance. Happy birthday Raila Odinga.”

Raila’s 2022 presidential runningmate and Narc Kenya Party leader Martha Karua also celebrated him via a post on her social media.

“Happy Birthday kinara Wangu @RailaOdinga May you have many happy returns to serve.” 

“Happy Birthday Jakom. There are relatively few people like you who have dedicated their entire lives to the betterment of the country.  I honour you. God bless you with abundant energy as well as a happy, healthy, and prosperous life,” wrotre Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

Kisumu Governor Anyang’ Nyongo wished the enigma a long life, thanking him for his service to the country.

“Kisumu Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o on his part wrote “May you live longer to blow many more candles. Thanking God for the opportunity He has given you to serve humankind. Happy birthday Captain!”

According to a statement from Orange Deocratic Movement (ODM) communications director Philip Etale, Mr. Odinga would celebrate his birthday at the home of former Mombasa Governor Hasan Joho in Malindi, Kilifi County.

According to the opposition leader, Kenyans’ demand for tax cuts, which have driven up living expenses, would be symbolized by the cake-cutting ritual.

Numerous regions of the nation have scheduled birthday celebrations for the seasoned lawmaker, which his supporters will attend.

All cakes intended for Raila’s birthday are set to be cut at 3:00pm all over the country.
