A top Kenyan disc jockey (DJ) is among individuals who have been arrested in connection with the fatal assault of a senior DCI detective.
Felix Kitosi died under mysterious circumstances in Kikuyu, Kiambu County, on Thursday, March 21.
The deceased brother, Reinhard Kitosi, says that the detective — who was attached to Dagoretti Sub-County DCI — died while undergoing treatment at the Nairobi West Hospital.
According to a police report seen by TV47 Digital, the assault happened when Kitosi was involved in a “non-injury traffic accident” within Kikuyu Market on March 16 at around 4 am.
“He had earlier complained of abdominal pains and was on treatment. Preliminary investigations reveal that he was assaulted by known persons after an altercation over the non-injury road traffic accident,” the report says.
Those arrested are the DJ, his bouncer, driver, and photographer, and are currently detained at Kabete Police Station.
However, a detective privy to the investigations told Nation that three officers have also been arrested.
