Grief has engulfed a village in Ikolomani Constituency, Kakamega County, after three primary school pupils died in a house fire.
Confirming the incident, Ikolomani Deputy County Commissioner Geoffrey Mayama says the home of the minors caught fire while they were asleep at around 1 am Thursday, February 29.
Unfortunately, the children died upon arrival at the Kakamega County Referral Hospital.
Their mother, who also sustained serious burn injuries, is recuperating at the hospital’s ICU wing.
