Murang’a: Tragedy unfolds as woman takes husband’s life in love triangle

Residents of Mukuyu village in Kiharu Sub County, Murang’a County, were left in shock after a woman allegedly stabbed her husband in a suspected love triangle.

According to the police report, the incident occurred while the husband was away shopping at the market, leaving his wife and daughter at home.

During his absence, another woman reportedly visited their house, inquiring about the man’s whereabouts and claiming to be his girlfriend.

This revelation angered the suspect, causing the other woman to flee for her safety.

Upon the husband’s return, the wife confronted him about the unexpected visitor, but he denied knowing her.

In the heat of the moment, the wife purportedly grabbed a kitchen knife, fatally stabbing her husband.

Screams echoed through the neighborhood when the couple’s six-year-old daughter discovered her father lying in a pool of blood.

Concerned neighbors hurried to the scene, only to find the man lifeless, and the wife had barricaded herself in the bedroom.

Villagers promptly reported the tragic incident to the Murang’a Police Station, leading to the apprehension of the widow pending further investigations.

The deceased’s body was transported to Murang’a Level 5 Hospital for a postmortem examination, leaving the community grappling with the aftermath of this shocking event.

Police Investigate Grisly Murder in Imara Daima

In a separate incident, police in Imara Daima are investigating the murder of a man whose decomposed remains were discovered in a roadside ditch near Imara Daima railway station.

The police suspect that the man may have been killed at a different location, with his body subsequently dumped where it was found.

Upon noticing the body emitting a foul odor in their area, locals decided to report the incident to the nearby police station.

The identity of the deceased is yet to be determined.

The man’s body displayed apparent head injuries, leading authorities to believe that he might have been struck on the head and killed in an incident that occurred on December 27.

The remains have been transported to the morgue, awaiting identification and an autopsy.

The police are actively pursuing their investigation to unravel additional details about the case.
