Tusker FC Signs Ugandan Midfielder from Kampala’s Police FC

Kenyan Premier League 13-time champions Tusker FC have announced the signing of Ugandan midfielder Dennis Iguma from Kampala’s Police FC on a one-year deal.

At 31 years old, Iguma brings a wealth of experience from both Uganda’s Premier League and the national team. Known for his tenacity in midfield, the versatile player excels at breaking up opposition attacks while also controlling the pace of the game. His leadership and defensive skills are expected to enhance Tusker’s midfield stability and strength.

Tusker FC head coach Charles Okere expressed his enthusiasm for Iguma’s arrival:

“He’s a player we’re familiar with, having trained with him during our time in Uganda. With his extensive experience, he will provide much-needed depth to our young squad. His exceptional leadership qualities will make him a great asset to the team.”

Tusker FC CEO Sam Nzau also shared his excitement about Iguma joining the club:

“We are thrilled to welcome a player of Dennis Iguma’s caliber. Since his arrival, he has shown great positivity, and we are confident that he will strengthen our squad as we pursue our goals this season. His experience and leadership, especially in the second half of the campaign, will be invaluable.”

Iguma, who has earned 63 caps for the Ugandan national team, has already begun training with the squad. The club revealed that pending the completion of final ratification processes, he will be available for selection immediately.

Currently, Tusker FC sits second on the table with 36 points, tied with leaders Kenya Police, who boast a superior goal difference.
