TV47 threw a farewell party for the Deputy Spokesperson Mwanaisha Chidzuga.
Mwanaisha joined Cape Media, TV47’s parent company in March 2023 when Radio 47 was launched.
Mwanaisha was the presenter for the mid-morning show ‘Mchikicho’.
Two months later, she was moved to TV where she anchored news and hosted the show ‘Nakshi’.
Appointment to the position of deputy spokesperson
President William Ruto on Wednesday, October 4 appointed former nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura as government spokesperson.
Mwaura will be deputised by TV47 Swahili presenter Mwanaisha Chidzuga and Gabriel Muthuma.

In a gazette notice from the Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service Felix Koskei, the appointments take effect immediately.
Prior to his appointment, Mwaura had been nominated as the Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) in the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi.
However, a protracted court battle regarding the legality of the CAS positions saw the positions suspended.
The position of governmnent spoksperson had been left vacant after Colonel (Retired) Cyrus Oguna resigned in October 2022, to take up the position of Chief of Staff for Siaya Governor James Orengo.
Oguna had served in the position from May 2019, after he was appointed by then-President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Mwanaisha is a multi talented Kenyan journalist mentor with more than two decades of experience in Journalism.
In her career as journalist and change maker she has worked with major media houses in Kenya and internationally, from Pwani FM, KBC, KTN,K24, BBC and TV47.
Her Vast experience has left a mark in the Media industry in Kenya where she has been able to Create and Produce News Programmes.
Additionally, she has anchored and reported news on various matters and also mentor and train journalist who are now households names in other media houses.
As a change maker she’s the founder of Dada2dada Uncensored Digital Magazine.

Mwanaisha holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and public relations degree.
She’s passionate about women Empowerment, Leadedship and Politics one of the motivation behind her seeking the position M.P in the last 2022 election.
She’s a mother of Seven children and wife to the Senator of Tana River County Danson Mungatana..
