Brought up in Rumuruti, Laikipia County, where farmers breed prized Zebu cows, Carol of Mandikizela Haven Farm was bitten by the ‘farming bug.’ Why such an interesting name? It’s the name of her eldest daughter. Winnie Mandikizela Mandela was wife to South African apartheid hero and ex-President Nelson Mandela. Carol rears birds (ornamental and otherwise), pigs, fish, cows, dogs, fruits, rabbits etc etc. #KilimoDiaries #Farming #Agriculture #TV47

I guess the only type of chicken missing in this farm is the AYAM chicken.
I watched this on TV. I can only disagree on the issue of Cranes not found in Kenya as mentioned by the farm owner. Let me highlight you a little bit. Cranes are found in Kenya. I come from Kisii. In 90s while growing up they used to stay at my grandparents farmland towards the wetlands near the river. One time a friend found two eggs in their nest. I remember he broke one. They attacked us and we ran away. They migrated because of human activities which put pressure on their hahabitat. I normally see a few hovering around still around the wetlands of transmara Kisii boarders. Most of them are found in Ahero rice farms. Thanks for the show.
Wow I love the farm maybe will visit someday
How big is your farm? I want to start like this. Is 1 acre enough?
