This person is a friend of mine. I was just thrilled by the reactions of the people of Wajir. I only hope they keep on pressing for justice for their only Surgeon General in town. But I also was moved by his mentees, colleagues and friends from Wajir, Kenya who testified at his funeral in Addis Ababa's 'Sahlite Mihret church' of his unwavering service to the patients, mentorship to his junior & professionally growing colleagues, and his humanity. What are the odds that the only surgeon in town serving the people of Wajir nearly seven Years, the only Ethiopian, and a highly respected 'man of the people of Wajir' gets killed in an accident like that? How often do people in Wajir get killed by vehicles accidents (12, 24 people a day?). This should be a puzzling question to our friendly brothers, sisters in Kenya and authorities of the government of Kenya.
