Identical twins from a school in Kakamega have left many in awe after achieving outstanding results in the 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education exams.

At Shikunga Secondary School in Ikolomani Sub-County, Prosper Isoka and his twin brother, Peter Lusava, both scored an impressive Grade A of 82 points each, a rare feat that has earned them admiration far and wide.

In the 2020 KCPE, the 18 year old twins Prosper scored 407 marks while Peter got 396. They had both been selected to join Friends School Kamusinga, a prestigious national school. However, financial constraints saw them enroll instead at the local Shikunga Secondary School.

Their story took a positive turn when the school board at Shikunga Secondary stepped in. Upon recognizing their potential, the board volunteered to pay their school fees, ensuring that their academic dreams remained on track.

The twins attribute their passion for medicine to their mother’s long-term health condition, which remains undiagnosed. They are determined to become doctors and help uncover the cause of her ailment.

The school deputy Edwin Kwaela has attributed the schools success to teamwork with 73 direct entries to university
