tWitch’s widow slammed by late husband’s family and friends

Allison Holker, the 36-year-old widow of Stephen “tWitch” Boss, remains steadfast in her mission to shed light on mental health.

This is despite facing backlash for sharing personal details about her late husband’s life.

Following her candid interview with People magazine, some have questioned her decision to disclose sensitive information.

Yet, Allison stands firm, emphasizing the importance of encouraging open conversations about mental health struggles.

Addressing critics on social media, including one comment accusing her of tarnishing Stephen’s legacy for a “paycheck,” Allison responded with grace.

“I’ll always love you. Just trying to help people feel safe to ask for help and support,” she replied, stressing her intent to inspire others to seek help.

In her interview, Allison revealed painful discoveries following Stephen’s passing in December 2022, including hidden drugs and journal entries that hinted at traumatic childhood experiences.

While these revelations have sparked criticism from some, Allison believes they provide context to the silent battles Stephen faced.

“It’s hard to think he never opened up to someone and wanted to face it, to get through on the other side,” she shared.

“I hope others dealing with the same thing know they’re going to be okay.”

Allison, who shares three children with Stephen—Weslie, 16, Maddox, 8, and Zaia, 5—also highlighted her commitment to connecting others with mental health resources.

“I’ve been so fortunate to have resources that helped me.

I’ve had many people reach out, needing to talk, and it’s clear that mental health can impact anyone at any time,” she said.

Allison slammed for her truth

However, her transparency has drawn criticism from Stephen’s friends and family.

Fitness trainer Courtney Ann Platt and Stephen’s brother Dré Rose publicly condemned Allison, accusing her of being opportunistic and airing private matters inappropriately.

Courtney alleged that family members were required to sign NDAs to attend Stephen’s funeral and claimed Allison mistreated his mother.

Despite the storm of criticism, Allison has received support from others who applaud her courage.

Reposting a message on Instagram, she reiterated the importance of open discussions about mental health:

“Sharing this powerful message reminds us all how crucial it is to talk about mental health.”

Through her advocacy, Allison continues to honour Stephen’s memory while striving to bring light to the shadows of mental health struggles.
