Two armed robbers have been shot dead, while two others escaped with bullet wounds in a fierce shootout with police officers in Kasarani, Nairobi County.
Police say they pursued the suspects who were driving in a Nissan Note car from Ruai to KU Farm in Mwiki area.
A Jericho pistol that was reportedly robbed from Officer Commanding (OCS) Vihiga Police Station in December 2023 was recovered from the suspects.
Police are urging Kenyans to inform them in the event the escapees seek treatment in any health facility.
The bodies have been removed to City Mortuary.
The vehicle has been towed to Kasarani Police Station, even as a manhunt for the suspects who escaped continues.
