Several people were injured after a head-on-collision between two PSV matatus along the Kisii-Keroka Highway.
The accident occurred on Thursday evening at around 8:30pm. The two vehicles are said to have collided between Birongo and Gianchere (Ekona Ya Gechino).
No fatalities were reported at the scene, although several passengers sustained injuries.
Locals rushed to the scene upon hearing a loud bang and attempted to rescue some of the passengers trapped in the wreckage.
This comes amid warning to motorists to drive safely due to the heavy rains rocking various parts of the country.
