The 2024/25 UEFA Champions League season has begun on a high, with European giants Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and Liverpool opening their campaigns with strong performances on Tuesday night.
The action continues tonight, where Manchester City will face Inter Milan, while Paris Saint-Germain hosts Girona in what promises to be another exciting evening of European football.

This season, UEFA has introduced a new format in the Champions League, significantly increasing the number of fixtures and the frequency with which top teams meet in the league stage.
Each team will now play eight matches in the league stage, compared to the previous three matches in the group stage. The number of participating teams has also risen to 36.
The top eight teams from the league stage will automatically qualify for the round of 16. Meanwhile, teams ranked 9th to 24th will face off in a two-legged playoff to secure their place in the knockout rounds.
With this new format, fans can expect more thrilling encounters between Europe’s elite football clubs.
