Aston Villa’s Spanish Manager Unai Emery has agreed to a three-year contract that will elapse in 2027 amidst interest from big European Clubs.
The 52-year-old former Arsenal tactician has had a record performance at Villa helping them collect 49 points in 25 matches, pulling them up from the threat of relegation in the 2022/23 season and helping them book a spot in the Europa League.
Villa are well on their way to booking a Champions League in the 2024/25 and sitting pretty fourth in the English Premier League table.
The impressive performance had put Emery on the radar of top European clubs such as Bayern Munich.
Unai Emery’s decision to have a future at Aston Villa has dealt a big blow to the German side, as their offer now seems to have been turned down three times by different prospects including Xabi Alonso Julian Nagelsmann and Unai Emery.
Sky Germany reported that the German giants are now set to turn to former Manchester United interim boss Ralf Rangnick, despite his struggles at Old Trafford.
Speaking on Sunday after Villa’s 3-1 win over Bournemouth, Emery had seemingly rubbished links to Bavaria when questioned as he said: ‘I am focused here, 100 per cent.’
In total, Emery has a stunning record of 44 wins from 77 games in charge of the Villans.
He has helped to develop a hugely impressive team and improve multiple players, including the likes of Ollie Watkins, with the former Brentford star adding 38 goal contributions in 47 games in all competitions this season.
