A good samaritan has built a house for a poor family in Mung’eli village, Mbooni West in Makueni County.
The family has been homeless for a year after their house was brought down by floods in April last year.

Festus Kasyoka Mbuva, through his Foundation (FKM) provided a safe and comfortable living environment for the family.
Speaking after launching the fully furnished 3-bedroom house, Ms. Esther Kavata the Program Lead at FKM Foundation, said that good deed catered for the family`s basic need.
‘’Many families live in poverty, access to adequate housing is a major challenge.’’ Said Kavata adding that the house will provide a safe and comfortable living environment for the family which has three children.
Agnes Mbithe, a mother who has been living in a single tent mounted by Kenya Red Cross a year ago said the new house will positively impact the family’s well-being, offering them security and a better quality of life.
Members of the Community Policing wing who attended the event led by David Kimanthi and Alice Ndunge, lauded the move terming it as an act of generosity that will inspire others to support the community and address the needs of vulnerable populations.
The family received food items, furniture and money donations during the launching party which was attended by hundreds of neighbors.
