‘When heartbroken, I cry many times’ – Prof. George Wajackoyah

Roots Party leader, Prof. George Wajackoyah, has shared a glimpse of his heartbreak during an interview with Dr. Ofweneke on TV47.

The renowned political figure, known for his outspoken views and eccentric campaigns, on Wednesday September 11, 2024 offered viewers a glimpse into his personal life as he discussed the emotional challenges he faced over the years.

During the candid interview with comedian and host Dr. Ofweneke, Wajackoyah admitted that he has been heartbroken numerous times, a side of him that many Kenyans may not have known.

“I have been heartbroken so many times” Wajackoyah said.

Did you cry?

Dr. Ofweneke, known for balancing humor with hard-hitting questions, asked Professor if he cried after the heartbreak.

“Yes I cried, when a girl leaves you in the dark and you maybe loved her like biscuits, you will definitely cry.

I am not born of stones or steel, I am human, I have emotions,” he said acknowledging the toll that personal relationships can take on even the strongest of individuals.

He spoke about the complexities of love and loss, being the divorce attorney that he is and how those experiences have shaped him both as a man and a leader.

“As a divorce lawyer, I also see a lot of emotional kind of circumstances when people want to break and I’m like why are they breaking, who is the beneficiary here, is it the boyfriend or the side chick and that’s what normally causes all these,” Professor added.

Though he did not delve into specific details regarding the nature of the heartbreaks, Wajackoyah’s openness touched many viewers, revealing the human side behind his otherwise tough and often controversial public persona.

His vulnerability highlighted the fact that no one is immune to the pains of emotional turmoil, regardless of their public image or stature.

Throughout the interview, Wajackoyah also reflected on his political journey and the lessons he has learned along the way.

He has often been known for his unconventional ideas, such as advocating for the legalization of marijuana and the sale of hyena testicles as part of his 2022 presidential campaign.

However, the interview demonstrated that behind his bold political ambitions lies a man who, like many others, has faced personal challenges in matters of the heart.
