Public Service, Performance and Delivery Management Cabinet Secretary (CS) Moses Kuria has reacted to the Cabinet reshuffle on Wednesday night.
The CS was moved from the Trade Ministry to the Public Service Ministry where he replaced which was previously under the Public Service Gender and Affirmative Action.
He immediately posted three YouTube links to Kikuyu songs. The first song titled ‘Mwathani wakwa Njakaniria Tawa’ which loosely translates to My God Light Me a Lantern.
“Even when I am faced with bad or good things, I will still kneel and thank you,” says the song in part.

The second song, ‘Ihinda Riakinya’ translated to ‘When the Time Comes’
“Whatever plans God has for you will come into fruition even if people hate you. When the time is right God will make all things right.”
“Nothing or no one will prevent Him from blessing you,” reads the song lyrics.
The final song is Paul Waiganjo’s ‘We Ngai Mahinda Mothe’ translated to ‘You are God at All Times’.
“You are God at all times, that’s what I know. My strong power that I took upon. I give my heart to you as a holy sacrifice.”
“I await upon you, the Lamb of God. When I sin against you, you forgive and forget,” reads the song lyrics in part.
Other ministries reshuffled
President William Ruto has made changes to his Cabinet, one year after assuming office.
The latest reorganization has seen some ministries expanded while others have been renamed.
The Office of the Prime CS held by Musalia Mudavadi, has now been expanded to include the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs.
Alfred Mutua, who held the position before has now been moved to the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife.
Trade and Investments CS Moses Kuria has been moved to the newly reconstituted Ministry of Public Service, Performance and Delivery Management.
Rebecca Miano will now replaces Kuria at the Ministry of Investments, Trade and Industry. Consequently, Peninah Malonza has now been tasked with the Ministry of East African Community, the ASALs and Regional Development.
Aisha Jumwa will be in charge of the new docket – Ministry of Gender, Culture, the Arts and Heritage.
The Ministry of Youth Affairs, the Arts and Sports has been reconstituted and renaed to the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, and will remain under CS Ababu Namwamba.
Alice Wahome has been reassigned to the Ministry of Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development, while Zachariah Njeru now takes over the Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation.
